Multiply Day 4

Wow what to do with the dreadful weather on Tuesday 12th March?

It didn’t stop session 4 of the Pro Active Community members group attending Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development Multiply course with Active Prospects supported adults and staff.

A very, very soggy morning was spent challenge solving, team skills developing, listening and guiding, planning and creating.

Upscaling ingredients, budgeting on a small amount to cater for 12 people, deciding as a group on responsibilities, sharing ideas and experiences.

The afternoon was our biggest task so far, code breaking and orienteering (a lot of mud skiing!) a rather damp walk through the acres of woodland (4,600 steps) and dozens of codes to fathom from pigpens to morse code!

“This wasn’t what I wanted to do in this muddy area but I’m so glad I did - I worked out the puzzle didn’t I?”

A day with so much learning and engaging so fully in supporting one another to achieve is brilliant.

Next week sees the final session, well planned out and an exciting end to a truly life skills developing 5 week project.

Thank you so much to all the team at SOLD and especially Debbie and Ben Rayner.

Well done to the Red and Blue teams - you smashed all the tasks today.
