Hand in hand with Three hands
I didn’t think it would be possible to shoehorn another co-production or engagement opportunity into this already back to back month, but there is no way we would turn down the chance to take part in another Three Hands project, this time with Alex Bull, Pro-Active Community member EmmaJane and Emma, supported by Active Prospects UK.
The briefing meeting explained who is involved and outlined the format of the session next week.
These pre-meeetings are an important part of putting people at ease, testing the tech works ok, and familiarising everyone with the people they will see in the break out rooms.
Looking forward to the discussions and looking at ways people with learning disability are working to tackle loneliness and isolation.
Interesting hearing mention of not only the dreaded covid legacy, but people now alone for hours ‘working from home’ no longer welcome or even able to head to an office location to catch up and interact with colleagues.
Next week will see 12 experts with lived experience of Learning Disability, and three charity facilitators, embark on the next steps with an extensive range of national financial and investment organisations.
