Surrey People's Group has a new Deputy Chair!

Amanda Aldridge and Debbie Overton at Surrey County Council hosted a very interactive Surrey People’s Group today with about 40 supported people and staff.

Nolan Heather from Surrey Police shared a very interesting presentation asking what more police can do to help with reporting Hate Crimes.

“We will investigate crime thoroughly” the Chief Constable has made that clear, “our job is about truth and fact”

The table workshops have collected lots of ideas and suggestions from everyone, Pro-Active Community members provided so much insight, which will be shared to help create an action plan.

Keith McKain shared details about the Surrey passenger survey which will be from January until December 2026. So proud to say Surrey have an Easy Read Bus Charter - they showed London buses up there!

A number of people raised concerns about their +C on passes, late buses, and last minute cancellations.
