Wow wow wow!

What an amazing night!! Pro Active Community member Emma Jane Levallee headed up to Evolution in Chelsea, London for the HSJ Partnership Awards 2024 (Health Services Journal) on Thursday 21st March.

The team were nominated in the Most Impactful Project Addressing Health Inequalities category, 1 of 28 that evening.

Congratulations to all the winners, but extra especially The PSC Chris Bradley Mikoto Nakajima Liz Williams Surrey Integrated Care Systems and of course Emma Jane Levallee who joined the programme as an expert with lived experience on the Whole Systems Approach to Obesity Project, later becoming the Whole Systems Approach to Food.

Coming away with a Silver Award in a category of astounding finalists is a fantastic result for the whole team.

Active Prospects UK have been a part of the Whole Systems Approach Programme from outset, partnering with the Pro Active Community members to being a wealth of knowledge and lived experience.

Co-production Programmes' Manager Helen Guest said ‘Emma Jane was a vital expert on this panel and proved to so many people what can be achieved with the right determination and support, prompted by hearing the shocking statistics about earlier deaths for females with a learning disability. Healthier living and joining a weight loss plan has had a major impact on Emma Jane’s health outcomes. This time last year we would not have been able to move like that on the dancefloor!’

The evening was presented by actor Miles Jupp, he certainly gauged the tone of the room well, he had everyone laughing from his opening sentence!!

Thank you must also go to the attentive events team at Evolution in Chelsea, they made everything accessible, including special parking facilities right by the entrance only available to pre booked so no one could risk not being able to park close by if they needed to, truly faultless.
