What do you want in your support staff?
The Pro-Active Community meeting this month had their core values firmly at its centre.
🗣️Completing a valuable survey on ‘What do I want, what don’t I want from my support staff?’
✨Member groups talked through how important it is to trust and know their staff, no one wants to be talked down to, have rude or staff with poor time keeping. Everyone wants to have well trained knowledgable staff who can react correctly in a crisis, have creative ideas, support not ‘boss about’, inspire and encourage, not be rude or on their phones making personal calls.
✨The information is being shared with Whitmore Vale Housing Association who are bringing all this first hand data together as prime evidence how important well trained, knowledgable care and support staff need to be.
✨This is not ‘an easy, unskilled role’ the need for mandatory training, resilience, important knowledge on practical life or first aid skills and the passion to care the right way for every individuals need must not be underestimated.
👏🏼Thank you to Amanda Aldridge for joining the meeting, to Matt Leadbeater for bringing great energy and new ideas and to Emma Jane for Chairing with Candice Waterman.
High energy, passion for change and a desire to achieve the right outcomes.
