Time to build!
Building Connections and reducing social isolation
Huge thanks to UNUM for providing a grant for Pro-Active Community members to deliver some workshops over the coming months to reduce social isolation and help to build new connections.
Members held focus groups to choose what type of sessions they wanted to host, and then went on to select themes and topics so what they are making is of interest to them.
Lego therapy will not only build colourful, exciting projects, but explore team work, building trust, problem solving, and improving social interaction, even a chance to meet new people and make new friends. These sets will be kept for future workshops and become an asset for Pro-Active Community members to host future events with.
Painting, pottery, photography and clay modelling are all other ideas being explored to bring people together and to spread the word about what the Pro Active Community do in bringing people together to reduce stigma, and break down the barriers, perceived or actual.
Join members across September and see what you can build!
