Tech -LD goes even further to listen to the experts

💙At June’s Surrey People’s Group meeting, hosted by Amanda Aldridge, so many long worked on elements all came seamlessly together.

🎉The progress on the Tech-LD project led by Alice Dunning from Sheffield Hallam University and Liz Croot is wonderful, and more excitingly we got to meet in person, finally after almost 2 years of heads on Teams, we were able to truly connect!

👏🏼This valuable project is bringing together the use of tech by adults with learning disability, its benefits and how it has opened doors, through to the failings and the lack of scrutiny, safety and fear it can and does generate.

🗣️Lots of very interesting, perceptive lived experience feedback gathered today from everyone taking part from Pro-Active Community members, people from Active Prospects UK Surrey Choices and Mencap.

👏🏼Thank you so much to Amanda and Alice for a truly successful morning, great to have General Manager Candice Waterman there with members too, these ‘rewards’ are to be championed.
