Teams to beat the heat!

July saw the first Teams monthly meeting Pro-Active Community members have held to bring everyone together, as a way of keeping meetings going in the very hot weather.

Members talked about the Managing my Safety and Security event, adding feedback to the survey results being gathered from all who took part, these will be shared at the next monthly meeting.

Matt was congratulated on creating a successful campaign of ideas across Learning Disability Week, with lots of praise for the ‘Do you see me?’ photo competition, showcasing what people enjoy doing and being seen in perhaps not their usual light!

Candice, Emma Jane, Michael and Helen provided updates on the Lloyds Foundation Grant, and shared the highlights of the upcoming UNUM funded Lego therapy and creative arts sessions.

Members look forward to welcoming Surrey Police Inclusion Team and Helen Dredge from First Community Health to their August meeting.
