Surrey Hill Book is closer than ever!

Over the past year, one particular project has been very uplifting to be a part of, The Surrey Hills book title with Beyond Words Surrey Choices Pro-Active Community and Active Prospects UK, such a collaborative adventure.

🥾Last year, Justin, Matthew, Natalie, Michael, Robert, Elizabeth, Leanne and Helen from Active Prospects and Pro-Active Community joined in exploratory walks at National Trust Box Hill and Newlands Corner, with lots of other supported walkers, where illustrator Belinda sketched ideas and a story line with everyone suggesting images.

📚The book creation process is so clever, from the first steps on the walks, to acting out scenarios, the first draft, then colour versions and over 140 supported adult book group triallers, providing editorial comments for revisions.

✨The penultimate read through with 15 supported people and staff giving the artist Belinda the last notes.

👀Look out for this new Beyond Words title coming in June, it has given a lot of much needed colour and light at a time where honestly it’s been pretty dark.

💚Titles such as this from Beyond Words provide the ideal opportunity to talk through topics, inspire action, encourage trying new outdoor things, and hilight what amazing country walks we have in Surrey.
