Partnership Working works!

Active Prospects are pleased to be working in partnership to introduce AI CAN with Pro - Active Community — a peer-developed training programme supporting autistic people and people with learning disabilities to use everyday AI tools confidently in daily life.

As AI is evolving quickly, not everyone has equal access to the skills and support needed to use it safely and effectively. AI CAN has been developed to help close that gap.

Co-produced with people with lived experience, the programme focuses on simple, practical uses of AI — from meal planning to organising information and solving everyday problems. We’re currently delivering training across different cohorts and locations to test impact, gather feedback and shape future delivery.

This collaboration shows what’s possible when technology, research and lived experience come together — building solutions with people, not for them. We’re proud to play our part in a project that prioritises inclusion from the start.

AI CAN is funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and delivered in partnership with the Centre for Vision Speech and Signal Processing, Pro-Active Community and Active Prospects.

Together, we’re working to ensure emerging technology is accessible, safe and useful for everyone.
