Wellbeing and ways to connect

Thank you to Unum UK for funding a well-being day in September, hosted by Pro-Active Community, bringing together support staff and people with learning disability across Surrey, to reflect on their own health and well-being strategies.

Lovely to meet Sarah Crossley from Your Wellbeing Co who guided everyone through tips and techniques for self regulating, restorative breath work and finishing with a truly relaxing guided meditation.

If you are new to tapping, give it a try, many found this really beneficial, great to add new ideas into your ‘self care’ toolkit.

Thank you must also go to Candice Waterman for planning and organising such a successful morning, and all the staff from across Surrey who joined in too.

My voice matters, I don’t need to be perfect, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, I belong in the spaces I step into, I am ready, I am capable, I am enough’

✨Affirmations to finish the afternoons well-being session were powerful and reflective

‘I feel great all relaxed’ Michael shared, he came to both sessions and not only set everything up with us, but kindly stayed to clear it all away again.

✨The techniques and ideas shared across those taking part will support managing stress and anxiety in a way each found the most connection with.

👏🏼Team work connecting the charity members to achieve so much.

🎉Everyone agreed this level of calm made them feel set for a great weekend. The guided mediation some were almost asleep they were so relaxed!
