Tech and AI - does it work for us?

💜Pro-Active Community members welcomed Grace Whitfield from Sheffield University Management School to their meeting today.

Grace is researching ‘Technologies that matter: Care, technology and living a good life’

🗣️Members said how tech had kept them connected during covid, enabled activities to continue and created a good feeling they were not alone.

There were downsides to tech shared too, it was sometimes impersonal and not easy to know if something was a ‘spam’ or ‘fake person’ and could cause anxiety if it didn’t work properly.

✨So interesting listening to experts with lived experience bring the world of assistive tech, Apps, home tech and the world of digital from their perspective.

✨Looking forward to the outcomes of this research project making changes for the better.
