Standing up for what is fair

Pro-Active Community Co-Chair Matt Leadbeater joined fellow member Robert, and his support staff Sandra at the Public Consultation at Horley Library on 22nd July on Surrey County Council’s proposal to change how much people pay for adult social care services.

✨Please ensure you take time to have your say, these changes will have a far reaching impact on some of the most in need of care across Surrey.

❌The thresholds are being lowered, bringing more people into paying for their own care costs, the assessments might well be based individually in some circumstances, but the principal remains very questionable.

“How is it fair or right to charge me for my support care, I don’t choose to have it, I need it to live independently on what little I have”
