Pro-Active Community member Robert joined the Surrey Choices Advocacy Group today by kind invitation of Shauna Jones at the Longmead Community Hub in Surrey.

🤝Sharing ideas and what works well across peer groups is a great way of meeting new people and learning new vital life skills to self advocate or to speak up for peers.

👏🏼It’s been so good seeing the new Group Lead Kellie taking so well to her role, Robert said how much he enjoyed joining in and having something he could head to on a Friday, where he “learnt something new and did something different!”

✅Today was focused on how to email in a professional way, learning the benefits of using ChatGPT in a measured way, fact checking as you go.

🎉Shauna encouraged individuals to take the lead and help each other learn the protocols of managing a group meeting which is never easy when everyone has great ideas all at once!
