It's all about the quality

Pro-Active Community member Michael visited one of Active Prospects UK Surrey homes today to complete a Quality Check.

Asking people living there to share their thoughts and feelings about their home, is it how they want it to be, does it feel welcoming and is it a happy location to live in, do they feel safe, are their staff knowledgeable about what they need, do they support people to enjoy all their hobbies and interests?

Ensuring support providers keep in regular contact with everyone they serve is a really important part of Quality Checking. You can’t make changes if you don’t know what people are wanting or needing, which as we all know can change month by month.

Thank you to Michael for his valuable insights and for taking the time to talk to people at the home he visited, he made some great suggestions about adding some more colour with plants and signposted one person living there to a fellow Pro Active Community member to talk about his hobby on a radio show!!
