Hair & Beauty - Accessible Adult Learning
Congratulations to Chairperson Emma Jane as another milestone is celebrated, the first 4 students completed their 5 weeks of Beauty at East Surrey College, another course created with Active Prospects UK and Rory Brelsford-Stewart partnering to deliver accessible adult learning.
✨skincare hydration and nutrition
✨nail care and importance of hygiene
✨infection control
✨how environment affects our skin
✨why do we need to look after our skin and what it tells us
Gill Felby used this final week to demonstrate a skill to be used for parties or celebrations, on each other or also as a fundraiser idea if people wanted to offer face painting.
Experimenting with techniques and colours is all about exploring ideas and learning in a safe space.
“Try something different, I’ve met new people, I would say to anyone don’t be scared, or worried when you first go in (to week 1) the teachers are lovely, you’ll learn a lot and make new friends”
5 very happy students growing in skills and confidence all talking about wanting to learn more, one is looking to enrol at College for further courses independently which is wonderful news!
